Hi my name is Alex Vissaridis. I'm currently in my second year at the University of Leeds, studying Graphic and Communication Design. I use this blog to talk about how I'm getting along with uni, outside projects and life in general. I also post about what inspires me, and what makes me die a little inside... design-wise, that is. You can visit my portfolio site here.

Tumblr
I started Tumbling at the beginning of this month with the full intention of keeping this blog as a “site blog” with updates about my portfolio site, work etc but to be honest I just seem to post everything on Tumblr anyway, so I’m gonna slowly phase this blog out and stick just to Tumblr.
The final APAD. Now I’ve finished catching up to the end of March, I think this is a good place to stop and give this project a rest so I can concentrate on my uni work and a couple of other miscellaneous (and time-consuming) things I’ve wanted to do. Lyrics from ‘Micro Cuts’ by Muse. (APAD for March 31st)
I posted this on Tumblr earlier, but I thought I’d put it here too, in case some people didn’t read the Tumblr post. Here’s the final video (of the 3) me and Nathan Perkins worked on for our friend’s play The Second Rule. The uploaded video shows the ending where the music and imagery crescendos to portray the central character’s descent into madness and the many emotions portrayed by the media. Hope you like it.
Don’t get me wrong, I love design blogs. Some of them anyway. But with a select few, I find they use the same words over and over to describe people’s work. Is everything really “nice” and “little”? What the hell constitutes a “fresh” design? And yes, I’m aware it’s for my inspiration; that’s why I’m on the blog in the first place. Sorry, rant over. (APAD for March 26th)
